CARB toroidal roller bearings
Extended service life
For a German piston pump manufacturer, it means a longer service life for its pump units.
When CARB toroidal roller bearings were first launched in 1995, they represented a huge technological breakthrough. Both self-aligning and axially free, these bearings are ideal for applications where misalignment and axial displacement present a challenge. Thanks to the high real load-carrying capacity of CARB bearings, high-power density design of the pump is possible. Furthermore, because the bearing absorbs deflections, you do not need to invest in a stiffer design. Other benefits include lower operating temperatures, fewer vibrations, increased reliability, lower energy use and a longer service life for bearings.
Lightweight design means reduced fuel consumption and increased payload for the vehicle.
Bearings “absorb” deflections leading to design cost efficiency as no resources needed to stiffen design.
High real radial load carrying capacity enables high power density design, requiring less built-in space
